Limited results for figurative ’reflective’ poses have been uninspiring, and no spark gained from quotes on line. My primary research has been on the internet working with the title ‘Reflection’ which has thrown up obvious ‘reflections’ referring to reflective surfaces i.e. I am enthralled by Anselm Keifer’s works: their magnitude, texture, impact and messages. His work had been initiated by a photograph which he explored through mirroring the image, then working in different medium on various grounds. My initial influence was the ‘Regrets’ exhibition by Jasper Johns.

I plan to explore various techniques from an initial photographic piece and develop through drawing and sketches. I am undecided whether this will be a 3D or 2D piece, nor whether it will be based on figurative or abstraction from nature. STATEMENT OF INTENT Susan J Pilborough My Final Major Project working title will be ‘REFLECTIONS’ which is open to a variety of interpretations.
